Hello classmates, what is your current musical project? I really would like to know what makes you wake up every day. Today I will write about mine: Murga Zamba y Canuta.

This is a choral and theatrical group who does humorous works of social criticism. This group is conformed only by women, and makes a genre that has been developed historically only by men. It is based on the genre of the Uruguayan murga, typical of Montevideo.  Now, we are mounting our second original work, called “Hecho en Chile”.  It is about developing a work that unites the legacy of the Uruguayan murga, with the wealth of the Chilean popular arts, recovering aspects of our national identity, in order to make a criticism that leads the spectator to reflect on the good and bad things of being Chilean.

I have been working for 6 years in this group, singing in the two works that we created called "El Inicio de los Tiempos" and "Hecho en Chile", and also I am part of the cultural management team. 

This group is important to me because it allows me to continue learning and developing my skills in different areas of life, and I also think that this group is a contribution for our society.

The rewards has been the trips, to grow as a person, to learn a lot, to fulfill every day my dream of doing what I love with wonderful people, and the good reviews that our work has received, although as a group we have had to overcome the difficulty of lack of support for young women artists.
